Pierre Couronne had a long career as a painter and publicist painter in Paris.Passionate about drawing and painting, he went to Paris in 1946 to study at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. Under the name of Pierot, he specialized in illustrations for advertisements, the most famous of which boasted the Bic ballpoint pen, Omo detergent, luxury products and many others, such as the national lottery. He also illustrated children's books. At the end of the 1970s, he chose to return to live in in Cévennes where he painted the landscapes he loved. The Prize of the President of the Republic is a horse race of mounted trotting that takes place in June at the Hippodrome de Vincennes in Paris . It's a race Group I reserved for horses of 4 years , geldings excluded, having won at least 38 000 € . It is run over the distance of 2,850 meters (long track).
