Set of 4 original vintage World War One and World War Two posters issued in the United States of America. 1. Join The Club - A Stamp A Day ... For The Man Who's Away! Design features stylised yellow lettering and a blue star with a red frame and a pledge letter which reads; 'I solemnly pledge for you there is no rest. For me there can be no rest from the part I can play to win the war and so speed your return home. I therefore solemily pledge to continue to buy war stamps and bonds to the limit of my ability, and to fill as many of these books as I can by buying a stamp a day until victory is won. Issued by the U.S. Government Printing Office. Fair condition, staining, creasing, tears, backed on board with a kickstand. Country of issue: USA, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 36x28, year of printing: 1943; 2. W.S.S.Pictorial News - Design features a black and white photo of union leader Samuel Gompers leading a group of labourers. Message below reads; 'The Big Little Man! - Samuel Gompers, leader of American organized labor, returns to America to help labor solve some of its problems. The Mexican Rebel, Francisco Villa, having been killed a number of times has come back to life again. Stray bullets from his recent battle at Juarez fell in El Paso and killed several Americans. Immediately 3600 American troops crossed the border and chased Señor Villa to the mountains. Being on the job on the jump is one of the lessons America has learned from the Great War.
