A pair of Graham Hill race overalls, in cream with red stripes, showing trace marks Graham's name and blood group that was once embroidered over the right hand zip pocket, showing minor wear and tear, offered together with a letter of provenance from the vendor, a marshal patch from the 1985 British Grand Prix, and a programme from the event with the vendors name as a marshal from the event printed to inside. Footnotes: The Vendor started marshalling at events in 1967 and continued until 1990. In November 1975 Graham Hill tragically died in a plane accident. The following year the vendor was a marshal at Oulton Park when they were told Bette Hill had arrived at the circuit wishing to give some of the marshals Graham's old overalls. The Vendor walked over to her car and Bette opened the boot up, lying in the boot was five of six pairs of overalls, she picked a pair out that looked about the right size and gave them to the vendor. At the time the overalls had Graham's name and blood group embroidered over the right hand zip pocket, but this had to be removed prior to use. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
