Employing a system of abstract forms throughout her work, Dickson is engaged in a speculative alchemy revealing a proto-language of emotional connectedness. Her forms, simultaneously archetypal and futurist, share characteristics with the body, tools and ornament. Through various material processes, textile, paint, metal, wax, and ceramic, the system of forms becomes a cosmology, where pattern is key to understanding how everything is necessarily touching.
