Footnotes: Provenance Courtesy of the artist and Yiwei Gallery, Venice, CA Artist statement: French-born Corinne Chaix is an artist and curator who lives and works in Venice, California. Her love for story telling infuses her work. The painting 'Ed' is part of a series of homage portraits of artists and friends. It pictures the late Venice artist Ed Moses, floating in one of his artworks entitled 'Fred' (2017). Chaix loosely reproduced the joyful map of animated clouds of Ed's painting, a happy space in a multidimensional grid dear to Ed Moses.
