Verre à vin miniature armorié et gravé, Potsdam, vers 1720 A rare Potsdam engraved armorial miniature wine glass, circa 1720 Of very attractive small size, the round funnel bowl decorated in polished tief and mattschnitt with the crowned coat of arms of the Landgraviate of Hessen-Darmstadt, the reverse with the monogram 'PG' within a shaped cartouche surmounted by a crown, a border of polished circlets below the rim, the base of the bowl, lower baluster stem and wide conical foot each deeply cut with distinctive stiff leaves, 12.3cm high (very slight crizzling) Footnotes: Provenance: With Karl Brunnarius Antiquitätenhandel, 30 April 1985 Christian von Reitzenstein Collection For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
