Gobelet armorié en verre gravé, probablement Zechlin, deuxième moitié XVIIIe siècle A fine German engraved armorial beaker, probably Zechlin, second half 18th century Of generous tapering cylindrical form on a foot cut with hobnail facets, finely engraved with the crowned coat of arms of the State and Republic of Bern, a diagonal band charged with a bear on a hatched field flanked by martial trophies, with elaborate foliate scroll borders to the rim and lower part, 13cm high Footnotes: Provenance: With Helene Brück Kunsthandel, 31 October 1988 Christian von Reitzenstein Collection A beaker of very similar form is illustrated by Brigitte Klesse, Glassammlung Helfried Krug, Vol.1, 1965, no.265.
