A JIZHOU 'LEAF' BOWL Song Dynasty Thinly potted of conical form with wide flaring sides, the interior decorated with the imprint of a leaf revealing its veins, covered overall with a rich dark glaze terminating at the small ring foot. 15.5cm (6 1/8in) diam. This process involves placing a leaf to the ceramic body of a tea bowl, applying a layer of transparent glaze, and subsequently firing it in the kiln. As the leaf burns, it leaves a distinct and clear outline on the interior of the bowl. Due to the natural variation in leaf shapes and sizes, each bowl produced is unique, with no two bowls being identical. Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
