AUDUBON, JOHN JAMES. 1785-1851. A group of 4 folio plates from Birds of America. 1. 'Ferruginous Thrush,' plate 116, 940 x 622 mm to inside of mat, printed by R. Havell, undated, even browning, margins trimmed, repaired tear into lower center of image. Framed; not examined out of frame. 2. 'American Bittern,' plate 337, 645 x 968 mm sheet size, by R. Havell, undated, Whatman watermark for 1838, matted. 3. 'Green Heron,' plate 367, 660 x 968 mm sheet size, Bien edition, dated 1860, without watermark, matted. 4. 'Mallard Duck,' plate 221, 660 x 991 mm at plate lines, later printing on hand-made wove paper. Framed; not examined out of frame. Lot to be sold without reserve.
