A fine early 20th century French silver guilloche enamel decorated travelling timepiece Cartier, No. 1991 The rectangular silver case enriched on all sides with royal blue enamel over an engine turned ground, within opaque white enamel borders, a gold cartouche with the letter M, over the applied beaded moulding and scrolled smoky agate base, numbered on the inside of the case 1991, the signed white enamel Roman 1.5 inch dial with gold hands, within a gold and white enamel laurel bezel, the lever escapement with cut and compensated bi-metallic balance to the spring going barrel movement numbered 11458 and 1991. Buyers' Premium and Charges

27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
