Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama: a Monogram 3D Dots Multi Pochette 2023 Limited Edition collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Yayoi Kusama Monogram canvas with a multicolour painted dots design, vachetta leather trim, gold-tone hardware, a canvas strap, and a delicate gold-tone chain Largest pochette 23cm wide, 12cm high, smaller pochette 18cm wide, 11cm high, coin purse 9cm wide Footnotes: Yayoi Kusama first collaborated with Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton in 2012 with a collection of bags featuring her iconic 'Infinity Dots' design. A decade later, a new collaboration was released, featuring Infinity Dots (in both monochrome and painterly multi-colour splashes) and Pumpkins in pastel shades layered over Vuitton's Monogram canvas. This second iteration of the collaboration was highly anticipated and widely marketed. The much hyped unveiling of the collection at Harrods in Knightsbridge saw the building covered in Infinity Dots, life-sized and eerily life-like animatronic models of Kusama herself in the windows, and a 15 metre high statue of the artist. CONDITION REPORT Condition Grade B- Appears in good pre-loved condition, with gentle signs of use. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
