A Pair Of 18-Bore Flintlock Silver-Mounted Pistols With Brass Barrels And Locks By Willmore, London, Birmingham Silver Hallmarks For 1781, Maker's Mark Of Charles Freeth With slightly swamped two-stage barrels, octagonal breeches each signed (one signature refreshed) along the top flat and engraved with a line of beadwork at the rear, foliate engraved tangs, signed border engraved flat locks each decorated with a flower-head at the stepped tail, engraved safety-catches and cocks (one top jaw and screw replaced), large rollers, figured full stocks each carved with a shell behind the barrel tang and with rounded swelling butts, mounts comprising pierced and engraved ribbon side-plates, vacant escutcheons, foliate butt-caps, trigger-guards each with acorn finial and engraved with a flower-head in a diamond-shaped panel on the bow, turned ramrod-pipes, and later horn-tipped ramrods, London proof marks (2) 20.1 cm. barrels For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing

Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
