A George III two-handled soup tureen and cover John Wakelin and Robert Garrard, London 1792 Oval bellied form with gadrooned rim, the reeded handles integrated and terminating into the four leaf capped scroll feet, with engraved crest, the lower body part gadrooned, the part domed fluted cover with leaf capped handle with engraved crest of the Moore family , weight 92oz. Footnotes: The crest likely relating to John MOORE (1800-1886), a merchant, who was born in Yorkshire and in his youth settled in Brazil, before returning to Liverpool c1833. Notably in 1830 he married Seraphina Hibernia PENNELL (1800-1877) in Rio de Janeiro. John MOORE was the son of Thomas MOORE (1780-1863) by his wife Martha TATE (1782-1847). He was later Chairman of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board. There is a possibility the arms may relate to his son Thomas MOORE's eldest son William Joseph BRAMLEY-MOORE (1831-1918) a Church of England priest. Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
