GF60014 stamped to reverse of headstock, Made in USA and 3-87 also stamped, neck block dated JAN 22 1987, bound Indian rosewood body with natural finish, spruce top, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard with diamond-shaped inlays, decorated soundhole rings, imitation tortoiseshell pickguard, ebony bridge, headstock with three-a-side tuners, with black hardshell contour case with black plush lining and Lee Dickson's handwritten label Guild GF60 \?GF60014 Blonde, with framed Christie's certificate signed by Eric Clapton in pencil, with two magazines; Record Collector - The Remaking of Eric Clapton and Guitarist Icons - Eric Clapton Special Issue, guitar 41 1/2in (105.5cm) long Footnotes: Provenance: Ex-Lot 59, A Selection of Eric Clapton's Guitars, Christie's, June 24th, 1999, where purchased by the present owner. The Guild guitar pictured in the accompanying Terry O'Neill photograph appears to be this guitar, taken near Clapton's home in Surrey, 1993. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
