A HONGMU DOUBLE-LOZENGE 'DRAGON' BOX AND COVER 1750-1860 Of domed double-lozenge form, the cover crisply carved in relief with a raised gallery of simplified and formalised leiwen enclosing two coiled chi dragons, facing in opposite directions so that the box is the 'right way up' from both sides, the base, the interior of box and cover, and the interior footrim lined with black lacquer. 46.5cm (18 1/4in) long (2).
