An 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch Movement & Cap No.6637, London Hallmark for 1814 Gilt full plate English lever movement, 3-arm balance, diamond end stone, white dial with black Roman numerals, black outer minute divisions with five minute markers, gilt spade hands, polished round consular case with monogram to reverse, inner cap, cuvette engraved 'John Macharg - Obt 20. Nov 1866', case signed WW, cap and movement signed 49mm. Joseph Johnson, Liverpool. A silver key wind open face pocket watch Case and Movement No.382, Chester Hallmark for 1815 Gilt full plate English rack lever movement, engraved balance cock, 3-arm steel balance, white dial with black Roman numerals, black outer minute track with five minute markers, gilt spade hands, polished consular case with reeded band, case stamped EJ, movement signed 48mm. Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION: Fair. Robert Gray & Son Watch: The case is clean with general scratches. The dial has hairline fractures running from 6 to 9. The hands are clean. The glass has some minor nicks. The watch runs when wound but has not been tested for timekeeping and cannot be guaranteed. Joseph Johnson Watch: The case has light surface scratches throughout. There are a few dents to the band. The dial has hairline fractures running from the centre. There are also several light marks to the dial. The hands are clean but the hour hand looks as if it may have been bent at some point and re-straightened. The glass has surface scratches. The watch runs when wound but has not been tested for timekeeping and cannot be guaranteed. Buyers' Premium and Charges

28% on the first $50,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of $50,000 up to and including $1,000,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of $1,000,000 up to and including $6,000,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of $6,000,000.

Please note our shipping quotes are bespoke and require special care and handling from our team and shippers. Shipping will be booked after payment is received. Oversized Lots

Please note that all lots marked with a W in the catalog are oversized and subject to additional storage and shipping methods. All additional lots purchased with W lots are considered group lots and will be subject to the same terms as W lots.

W Lots will be transferred to offsite storage at DTD Fine Art Services at the buyer's risk and expense within five (5) business days following the auction. Please contact the Client Services team at bids.us@bonhams.com for the exact movement date.
