Pas étonnant que la boxe vienne installer ses rings sur la plage. Le temps est maussade, mais l'affrontement entre le champion de France des poids lourds Marcel Nilles (à gauche) et le colosse britannique Dick Smith attire bon nombre d'amateurs. Tous peuvent apprécier le jeu de jambes du Français, qui obtient le match nul après vingt reprises de trois minutes. September 7, 1920, Deauville. In just a few years, Deauville has become the capital of leisure: sea bathing, horse racing, casino... It's no surprise that boxing would bring its rings to the beach. The weather is gloomy, but the bout between French heavyweight champion Marcel Nilles (on the left) and British giant Dick Smith draws a sizable crowd of enthusiasts. All witness the Frenchman's footwork, as he secures a draw after twenty-three-minute rounds. 14.5% on the excess over €4,500,000 of the Hammer Price
