Telle est l'épreuve que s'infligent les 675 concurrents de la Titan Desert. Dans ce peloton de l'extrême a pris place un néo-retraité du peloton tout court : Sylvain Chavanel porte le dossard n°18, comme le nombre de ses participations au Tour de France (un record). May 1, 2019, Morocco. Six hundred kilometers over six stages across the Sahara Desert and Atlas Mountains, temperatures hitting 40°C, brutal elevation changes... This is the Titan Desert challenge for 675 competitors. Among this extreme peloton was a newly retired road cycling pro: Sylvain Chavanel, wearing bib number 18 – the same number as his record-breaking Tour de France participations.
