A selection of graphics and ephemera relating to events and fundraisers in and around Downton, production made by Downton Abbey's Graphics Department Various Seasons, and Episodes, based on the screen matched originals To include: Various copies of the list prize winners for the Downton Flower Show, in which the Dowager Countess awards the 'Best Bloom' prize to Molesley's father (Season 1, Episode 5); A variety of lists relating to the preparation of the Downton church bazaar organised by Cora (Season 4, Episode 8) A large of advertising flyers for the Open House at Downton Abbey, together with a selection of 'Do Not Sit' signs placed by Carson when the house was opened up to the public (Season 6, Episode 6); Copies of a letter from the hospital board to Dr Clarkson discussing the merger of the Downton Cottage Hospital, and the suggestion that Cora takes over from the Dowager Countess as President (Season 6, Episode 6), together with two 'medical files' and some plain headed paper; A group of 'Grantham House Visitors Rooms' sheets, the majority blank; Some Guest List room sheets, mentioning the characters of Lord Gillingham and Mr Gregson; Menu and preparation graphics for a Garden Party; A miscellaneous selection of invoices, inventories, reports and letters relating to the Downton Estate and its running; a selection of graphics relating to the Downton Cottage Hospital, etc. Copies of the 'Downton Abbey Fire Drill', etc. (Qty) This lot is subject to the following lot symbols: † † VAT at the prevailing rate on Hammer Price and Buyer's Premium. From 28 June 2025, the import into the EU of non-EU property of a certain age (and in some categories above a certain value) is subject to additional requirements. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
