12th (East Suffolk) Regiment of Foot Victorian Officers ""Albert"" shako plate circa 1844-55. A very fine rare fire-gilt example. Crowned star mounted with laurel wreath entwined at the top with tri-part scroll ""Minden"" ""Gibraltar"" ""Seringapatam"" with scroll ""India"" at the base. Within the wreath, a circular strap ""Montis Insignia Calpe""; on the burnished gilt dome centre, the Key and Castle over ""XII"". To horizontal loops to reverse. Minor creases to star tips otherwise VGC.
