Silver circlet inscribed ""Medical Staff""; the seeded gilt centre mounted with silver crowned VR Cypher. Gilt universal pattern rococo ends. VGC 23rd June 1898 Army Medical Staff (Officers) and Medical Staff Corps (ORs) merged to become the Royal Army Medical Corps.
