65th (2nd Yorkshire, North Riding) Regiment, Victorian Officer?s shoulder belt plate circa 1840-55. A very fine and scarce example. Copper gilt rectangular plate with silver crown over a scroll, ?India?, a large Royal Tiger on ground; below the Tiger a scroll, ?Arabia? and at the bottom the numerals, ?65?. Reverse retains original fixings, comprising two hooks at the top and two studs at the bottom. Complete with the leather backing. VGC
