Crowned strap inscribed "Kildare Rifles"; to the centre, two serpents and motto "Prudens ut Serpens". (KK 1281) Loops VGC Raised at Naas circa 1780 as Kildare Militia, became 3rd Bn. Royal Dublin Fusiliers on Friday 1st July 1881
