7th Foot (Royal Fusiliers) pre 1855 Officer s shoulder belt plate.
A good attractive restored gilt example. Rococo style seeded gilt plate with raised border ornamented with Acanthus leaves bearing pierced Garter with rich blue translucent enamel ground running from top left to bottom right; superimposed on the Garter, a large gilt rose surmounted by a Guelphic style Crown. Replacement backing plate with two hooks at the top and two studs at the bottom. One or two chips to enamel. GC (Parkyn 114)
