An extremely scarce die-stamped brass example. Flaming grenade; on the ball a strap inscribed Royal North British Fusiliers ; pierced numeral 21 to centre. To reverse, original brass loops North and South. Minor service wear, generally VGC. (KK 454) Redesignated 21st Foot (Royal Scots Fusiliers) in 1877. Provenance. Hugh King Collection Bosleys September 2007, Lot 17.
