47th (The Lancashire) Regiment of Foot Victorian Officer's shako plate circa 1869-78.. A fine scarce die-stamped gilt example. Within a crowned laurel wreath, the Garter with pierced stencilled numerals '47' to seeded centre, at the base of the laurels an applied gilt rose. Two loops to reverse. VGC (KK 164). Became 2nd Battalion of the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment on Friday 1st July, 1881.
