Indian Army. 1st Januk Bn. Gwalior Contingent Sepoy’s 19th century cross belt plate.
A good rare example. Cast brass rectangular plate mounted with crowned circlet resting in laurel wreath which rests on a scroll inscribed “Januk Battn”; brass “1”to crimson cloth centre. Reverse with single hook and pair of studs. Crown polished otherwise GC.
