2nd KEO Gurkha Rifles (Sirmoor Rifles) Officer’s 1909 hallmarked silver pouch belt plate.

A fine scarce die-stamped example by F & S (Firmin & Sons) bearing Birmingham hallmarks for 1909. Crowned laurel wreath bearing honour scrolls “Bhurtpore” “Sobraon” “Kandahar 1880” “Punjab Frontier” “Aliwal” “Kabul 1879” “Afganistan 1878-80” and “Tirah”. Mounted the centre, crossed kukris surmounted by ERI Cypher with SRR cypher and “Delhi” below. Mounted across the base of the wreath, a scroll inscribed “King Edward`s Own”. Four of five screw posts to reverse. A little service wear. VGC
