A good cast brass example. Rectangular plate with rounded corners mounted with crowned laurel wreath surrounding strap inscribed “Bengal Nat; Infy”; “47” to centre. Reverse with pair of hook and studs. GC Redesignated 7th Bengal Native Infantry in 1861.
