Grenadier Guards Georgian Officer’s bearskin plate circa 1817.
A very fine and exceedingly rare example. Rich gilt semi-circular plate bearing crowned Garter, with central partial post 1816 Royal Arms, superimposed on Prince of Wales plumes with Lion and Unicorn supporters. Reverse with three short screw posts; small hole to lower extremities to facilitate sewing to bearskin. VGC
