A very fine and extremely scarce example. Silver star mounted with gilt oval bearing the legend “Nemo me impune lacessit. The Royal Regiment”; within the oval, the Collar of The Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle, Crowned VR Cypher to centre. The Collar and Cypher set on a rich blue enamel ground. Reverse retains both original loops. VGC
Regimental history states this was originally worn with separate embroidered “1”.
