John Markham, 18 kt. gouden knol sleutelhorloge, Londen, ca. 1770. Uitgevoerd met snek uurwerk, de balans gegraveerd met florale motieven, het binnenwerk gesigneerd J. Markham, London en genummerd 18281. Met witte wijzerplaat met Romeinse cijfers voor de uren en Arabische cijfers voor de minuten en gouden gezaagde wijzers. In een vergulde rococo overkast, de achterzijde met mythologische voorsteling omlijst door rocailles, de binnenzijde met reparatiepapier M.L. Smolders, mr. horlogemaker te Gorinchem. De buitenkast verguld en bekleed met groen segrijn met goudkleurige rozetten (barst in het glas buitenkast), wijzer gerepareerd. bruto 126,5 gr., diam. 56 mm [1] John Markham, 18 k. gold knob key watch, London, ca. 1770. Equipped with fusee movement, the balance engraved with floral motifs, the movement signed J. Markham, London and numbered 18281. With white dial with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes and gold sawn hands. In a gilded rococo overcase, the back with mythological representation framed by rocailles, the inside with repair paper ML Smolders, mr. watchmaker in Gorinchem. The outer case gilded and covered with green shagreen with gold-coloured rosettes (crack in the glass outer case) Dial repared.
