RAVEL MAURICE: (1875-1937) French Composer. T.L.S., Maurice Ravel, one page, 8vo, Le Belvédère, Montfort l´Amaury, 29th April 1925, to Louis Fournier, on his personal monogrammed stationery, with his blue embossed initials at the heading, in French. Ravel states `Forgive me my dear friends, and have pity on me too: my machine do not progress; I am suffering from a very acute slackness, and it must be finished for 15th of May! I must cling to work and not move from here till then.´ Ravel also adds an amendment to a wrongly typed word. Typed text in red ink. Post-stamped in Paris to the verso. EX £500-800 Louis Fournier (1877-1963) French Violoncellist who won the first award of the Paris conservatory (1901). He transcribed Ravel´s minuet ´Malagueña´.
