A folder of Third Reich ephemera, to include: Nine ‘Stammbuch’ records (family registers), comprising double-sided fold-out registers with personal details including parents names, marital status and childrem, profession, religion, political affiliations, sport and other achievements, and a hand-written personal statement, together with activity lists with information detailing previous party roles and membership, application for confirmaton slips stamped by the local Nazi office, and ID photos.Application form, service records and correspondence regarding NCO Paul Mielke requesting to join the propaganda ministry (and newspaper clippings of his articles published as a journalist in the 1930s); letters request for him to be followed closely and he is initially rejected until it is discovered that he was confused with another Mielke who was imprisoned for ‘undermining military strength’. He was subsequently approved.Three award certificates for Obergefreiter (Lance Corporal) Ludwig Karch; silver Infantry Assault Badge, Ostmedaille, and black Wound Badge.A billeting record for German Troops in Guernsey stating that two soldiers were billeted at Hirzel House, Smith St (St Peter Port) in July 1942 (in German and English)Four continuing budget expenses records ‘Fortdauernden Ausgaben’.Three regional court records (being a purchase agreement, two deed notices granting power of attorney on deceased estates (red wax Nazi party seals), and a company shares declaration.Various certificates to include an award for a silver loyalty service medal, Order of Honour of the German Mother, official and military appointments, details for Sergeant Major examinations in 1942, disability discharge records, awards certificates for Iron Crosses 1st & 2nd Class, Gold Front Flight Clasp for Transport Pilots, Ostmedaille, Wound Badges, Merit Cross, Cross of Honour, Javeling throwing etc. Other ephemera to include a condolences letter to a bereaved wife. Please note that owing to the large number of reproduction Third Reich and Imperial German items on the market, we can give no guarantee as to the authenticity of any such items.  Prospective purchasers must satisfy themselves in this regard before bidding.  We WILL NOT accept any returns on these items.

Buyers Premium - 22.5% plus VAT at prevailing rate 

Payment will be taken in full from the registered card on thesaleroom.com on the Wednesday following Home & Interiors sales and on the Friday following all other sales, unless payment has already been received.  Please see our Terms & Conditions for bank details if you prefer to make a bank transfer. 

Important Notice:  Due to high levels of fraud in the buying of gold and related items, we have had to introduce the following measures for gold and jewellery items:

  • The maximum payment by credit/debit card over the telephone is £500.  We strongly recommend buyers use the bank transfer facility.
  • Gold & jewellery items paid for by card over the telephone will not be shipped or released to couriers for at least 5 working days after payment has been made.

We trust that potential buyers understand why we have taken these precautions. and that by being vigilant we hope to reduce the instances of credit card fraud which affect not just auction houses, but also vendors, and the unsuspecting owners of fraudulently used credit cards.
