Description
James Rutherford Davie RAF, a collection of medals and ephemera to include 1939-1945 Star, Africa Star, Italy Star, Defence, War and General Service Medal (1918-1962) with Malaya clasp, naming FLT. LT. J.R. DAVIE. RAF, with the miniature examples, Pilot's Flying Log Book, the first entry dated August 16th 1943 in a Tiger Moth, the last entry dated Sept 10th 1944, many of the entries show Davie as the Pilot or First Pilot, various other log books, one being an exercise book hand written to the brown paper cover Fg. Off. J.R. Davie "A" Flight No.1 Squadron, various Private Pilots Licences to include United Kingdom, Nairobi Club, Kenya and East African Civil Aviation, two post War Royal Appointment scrolls, various RAF brevets, pencil sketches and photographs etc.
The log books run up until 1971.

Buyers Premium - 22.5% plus VAT at prevailing rate
Payment will be taken in full from the registered card on thesaleroom.com on the Wednesday following Home & Interiors sales and on the Friday following all other sales, unless payment has already been received. Please see our Terms & Conditions for bank details if you prefer to make a bank transfer.
Important Notice: Due to high levels of fraud in the buying of gold and related items, we have had to introduce the following measures for gold and jewellery items:
- The maximum payment by credit/debit card over the telephone is £500. We strongly recommend buyers use the bank transfer facility.
- Gold & jewellery items paid for by card over the telephone will not be shipped or released to couriers for at least 5 working days after payment has been made.
