In 1978, he founded the Galerie Gastaud in Clermont-Ferrand dedicating himself to promoting the work of other artists. In 1992, Gastaud opened a gallery on Rue Debelleyme in Paris. In 1993, he began painting again and he has exhibited throughout Europe and internationally, including galleries in Belgium, Bulgaria, United States, UK ,Quebec, Sweden, Greece, and China.
