Note: Anne is a professional artist with works in private collections in both Japan and America. She painted from her gallery in Langholm, Dumfriesshire for many years, taking part in the region’s Spring Fling Open Studio Event introducing and demonstrating the art of pastel painting to enthusiasts. A member of the Dumfriesshire Fine Arts Society, Anne exhibited widely throughout the region and in Cumbria. Her first love was to exhibit in the Artists’ Town of Kirkcudbright in the High Street Gallery and at the Tolbooth Art Centre where she has had numerous solo exhibitions.

Anne relocated to Bute where she continues to paint in her studio by the beach near the beautiful village of Kilchattan, a constant source of inspiration. She replicates the flow of natural patterns whether it be in wave, sand, rock or sky and works her pastels layer upon layer building on pattern, texture and colour with each application creating movement and natural flowing shapes. Anne has tutored both in Dumfriesshire and Bute, latterly mentoring at Mount Stuart and regularly exhibiting at the Castle Gallery, Rothesay, The Stables Gallery, Inverary, The Tolbooth, Kirkcudbright and The Seagull Gallery, Gourock.
