A 17th Century and later oak mule chest, the two plank top with moulded edge over a later lozenge and flower head medallion decorated frieze and three bog oak and holly floral inlaid panels, interspersed by stop fluted pilasters, over a notch carved lower frieze and two later drawers, on stile supports, 141 cm wide x 57 cm deep x 87 cm high

CONDITION REPORTS
The top has some larger scratches in the top left hand corner, there is also discolouration and marks throughout. The drawers are both missing their handles and the right hand drawer is missing its lock. No keys. There are losses to the wood variously throughout, particularly to the drawer mouldings and the drawer on the left hand side top left hand corner. The side panel is missing on the bottom section on the left hand side. Possibly cut down, seems a bit short on the foot. There is some white residue variously throughout, assume this is cleaning material. There is a split with a significant gap to the middle panel bottom left hand corner and the right hand panel has two significant sections of inlay missing. There has been filling done in various places. The inside has been lined, appears to be during the Victorian period, badly stained. There is some gapping to the joints when the lid is open. Solid but has wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for more details

We can recommend a professional packing firm for any items which you are unable to collect. We offer a very limited in-house packing and postage service for the UK only but are not professional packers and will require a disclaimer from buyers confirming that they take responsibility for packaged items once they leave our premises.   Our packing service is provided on one day, approximately 10 days after the sale date, please do contact us on 01285 646050 to get exact details - there is a minimum handling charge of £30 for packing services.
