Generally about very fine, last rare £150-£200 --- Provenance: First bt R. Sharman 1988; second and *last A. Clunes Collection, SCMB August 1972 (TP 600, 601), A Collection of Theatre Tickets, Passes and Medals, Spink Auction 46, 9 October 1985, lot 540 (part), bt R. Sharman 1985; third bt Seaby 1972; fourth bt S.E. Schwer 1988. These anonymous tickets are principally assigned to Liverpool on account of the contemporary note on their use there by J. Harris Gibson, written in 1873. They have also been assigned to the Theatre Royal, Haymarket, London, by Montague Guest, and to Reading, also by Guest (who was followed by the late Alec Clunes), without any firm documentary evidence. The owner prefers to think of them as pieces relating to the former Theatre Royal and Albert Hall, Reading, destroyed by fire in 1874, thus they are retained in this section of the collection
