Three: Captain R. L. Murray, Northamptonshire Regiment, who was wounded at Gallipoli, was Mentioned in Despatches, and was killed in action in Palestine on 19 April 1917 1914-15 Star, naming erased; British War and Victory Medals, with small M.I.D. oak leaves (Capt. R. L. Murray.) nearly extremely fine (3) £80-£100 --- M.I.D. London Gazette 12 January 1918 (Palestine). Robert Leslie Murray was born in Reigate, Surrey, on 28 October 1893, the son of the Reverend Arthur H. Murray, and was educated at St. Edmund’s School Canterbury, and Jesus College, Cambridge, where he was the Senior Classical Scholar, and a Member of the 2nd VIII. Commissioned following the outbreak of the Great War into the Northamptonshire Regiment, he served with the 1/4th Battalion in Gallipoli from August 1915, and was wounded in action the same month. Promoted temporary Captain on 21 July 1916, he was killed in action in Palestine on 19 April 1917 - according to the Jesus College Society Annual Report on the day of his death ‘he was twice hit, each time rising to lead his men on, after which he was killed by machine gun fire.’ He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Jerusalem Memorial. Sold with copied research, including various photographic image of the recipient from his undergraduate days.

Within the UK
If you live within the UK, items will be despatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery. This service provides parcel tracking (via the Royal Mail website) and next weekday delivery (betwen 9am and 1pm). Items delivered within the UK are covered by our insurance company. Heavy and bulky lots will be sent by courier, in discussion with the client.

Outside of the UK
If the item/s being sent are worth under £1000 in total they are sent using Royal Mail’s Signed For International service. This ensures the item must be signed for when it is delivered.
If the item/s being sent are valued at over £1000 in total they will be sent using FedEx. This service allows next day delivery to customers in many parts of the US and parcels are fully trackable using the FedEx website.

Shipping Exceptions
