The painting captures a textured green horizon beneath a pale, overcast sky, rendered in Brady’s signature minimalist yet emotive style. Image: 37 x 44.5 cm.; Framed: 49 x 57 cm. PICTURES AND PRINTS Tuesday 16th September 2025 18:01:40 Biography CHARLES BRADY HRHA (1926 - 1997) Charles Brady was born in Manhattan, New York, and studied at the Art Students League from 1948 to 1951. He held his first solo exhibition at the Urban Gallery in 1955. During this period, he regularly met with fellow New York artists at the Cedar Street Tavern, including Franz Kline and Willem de Kooning. Brady worked in an abstract expressionist style, often drawing inspiration from everyday subjects such as pigeons and the Palisades. His connections with students from Trinity College, Dublin, would later influence his move to Ireland.
