A richly expressive abstract composition depicting two interlocking, almost figurative forms at the centre of the canvas, rendered in textured sweeps of ochre, crimson, and violet. Davis’s emotive brushwork and atmospheric handling of colour and space evoke both intimacy and energy, suggesting a symbolic embrace or spiritual union. Framed in a white and green frame with gilt slip. Image: 38.5 x 48.5 cm. Framed: 57 x 67 cm. His work, which explored themes of mythology, identity, and human connection, spans figuration and abstraction, often with symbolic resonance. He exhibited widely in Ireland and internationally, and his paintings are represented in major Irish public and private collections.
