In May 1943 the Axis forces surrendered to the Allied forces in Tunisia, with Alexander telegramming Churchill "...We are masters of the North African shores". By June he was in London, where he purchased this picture. Dimensions: (Frame) 20.25 in. (H) x 26 in. (W) (Board) 15.5 in. (H) x 21 in. (W)
