A Mothasham Kashan carpet Central Iran C. 1890 Ivory field of angular vines. Centered by a deep and pale flower head medallion. Framed by madder spondrals and indigo borders of angular meandering vines. Flanked by triple guard stripes. Both ends with outer guard stripes are rewoven and repiled. Selvages have been rebound. Pile is evenly low throughout. Suitable for immediate use. Minor tinting. Property from a Princely Collection Dimensions: 194 cm x 136 cm
