This sculpture represents the mystique and magic of the Harlequin character dating back to Italian passion plays. The head and beak have been turned into a Venetian mask. The trickster character disguises his true wit - what may appear silly and foolish to us hides a myriad of wisdom and secrets beneath those black and white pantaloons. Karis Harrington is a freelance visual storyteller fascinated by folklore, the magical world of nature, and mythology. She works in illustration, animation and micro theatre to spin weird and wonderful tales. - Height 1600mm width 890mm Depth 1090mm weight 30kg
