The sculpture conveys a positive message through its depiction of a baby penguin caught in a blizzard of emotions. As viewers move around, the storm gradually subsides, revealing the tranquil northern lights, and the penguin finds peace with its mother, symbolising co-regulation. Poppy is a Southend-based artist known for her use of fineliner pens, graphite, watercolours, and acrylics. She draws inspiration from personal experiences, music, and meaningful quotes.
