Description
A Longines silver open face key wind pocket watch - late-19th century, the 47mm case with chased foliate cartouche to case back, the inside case back signed with 'Patent Longines' logo and no. 186739, the white metal cuivre stamped 'Longines 1a Qualidade', the gilt lever movement signed 'and stamped 'Gold Medal Paris 1878', the white and duck-egg enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic 5 minute track, subsidiary seconds dial at 6.
* Movement requires attention - watch runs very briefly but then stops and the balance wheel occasionally gets stuck. The movement is also dirty and dusty. The case is in good condition with some age related wear. The dial is in good condition, with no chips, flakes or hairlines visible. The glass has a tiny edge chip at VIII o'clock.
