From the Imperial Palace Workshops, Beijing, the bottle is finely carved and enameled around the sides as a wicker basket containing various flowers including prunus, lilies, chrysanthemums, narcissus, and peonies, the foot bearing a three-character 'Guyue Xuan' mark in iron-red, the gilt-metal stopper composed of two-interlocking parts in a 'moving' format, height 2.4 in — 6 cm

The Parry Collection is a private British family collection that first formed in 1919 during World War I through Officer Edward E. Parry and his wife Angela. The collection contained many Imperial works of Chinese art, including enamel, lacquer, porcelain and jades, and were kept within the family for three generations.
