The Welsh porcelain produced at the Nantgarw China works, in south Wales, from 1813-26, and that created at the Cambrian and Glamorgan potteries in Swansea, until 1870, is very collectable.
Go around the lobe
This Swansea porcelain table centrepiece, shown top, is of lobed circular form raised over a stepped circular foot and having twin-handles, the border typically moulded with c-scrolls, flowers and ribbons, the interior painted with a spray of flowers and the border with specimens of flowers and a vine of strawberries, gilded handles, rim and borders.

Estimated at £6000-7000 is this Nantgarw porcelain vase with twin dolphin handles picked out in gold, leaf-form moulding to shoulders to a concave neck over a heavy turned circular foot, the body finely decorated with an array of garden flowers and leaves at Sims workshop London, c.1818-20.
The 5in (13cm) high vase comes from a private collection in Cardiff. Similar vases were modelled with a groove to accept a cover - the rim of this vase has been gilded and there is no groove and so this vase would not have been covered.
