A GROUP OF 18 BETEL NUT MORTAR AND PESTLES Indonesia, Java, Bali and Lombok, comprising of examples with bone, brass and wooden mortar, variously carved figural handles of birds and anthropomorphic figures, the materials including bone, horn, hardwood and a cast brass example, all with fitted perspex and metal stands 19cm to 31cm high (as pictured on stands) Condition Information: Most examples show various degrees of damage, particularly the carved horn pieces which show insect damage of varying severity.
